Custom jewelry is created specifically for the individual customer and may involve significant design work, special materials, or irreversible manufacturing processes.
Design Approval
Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving important order details before production, including:
- Ring size
- Width
- Materials
- Inlays
- Engraving
- Colors
- Layout
- General design
- Other requested personalization
Computer images, drawings, mockups, material samples, or photographs are intended to communicate the design concept. Natural and handmade materials may vary from examples shown.
Handmade Variations
Each JI Jewelry piece is individually made. Natural materials such as wood, antler, turquoise, stone, opal, Damascus steel patterns, and similar materials may have variations in grain, color, pattern, texture, and appearance. These natural variations are part of the individuality of a handmade piece and are not normally considered defects.
Customer-Supplied Materials
When customers provide materials such as fabric, lace, wood, memorial materials, or other sentimental items, JI Jewelry will use reasonable care while working with them. Customers should only provide the amount of sentimental material they are comfortable having used during fabrication because some processes may permanently alter or consume the material. Unused material may be returned when practical, but customers should discuss this with JI Jewelry before beginning the project.
Final Sale
Custom, personalized, engraved, memorial, and made-to-specification pieces are final sale except where an item is defective or materially different from the approved order.
Changes After Approval
Changes requested after a design has been approved or production has begun may not be possible. If a change is possible but requires additional materials, labor, or remaking part of the piece, an additional charge may apply.
Production Time
A typical production period is approximately 14 days, although custom projects may require additional time depending on materials, complexity, supplier availability, or the nature of the project. Any project-specific timeline communicated directly to the customer will take priority.
