The plate, and the finished band in daylight.
Cut, Not Printed
The branch running the length of this band is engraved into solid gold. It is not plating, not a pattern laid over a cheaper metal, and not something that wears through.
Koa sits on either side of it, dark and figured against the gold, and the whole thing is finished so the wood and the metal come up level under a thumb.
Solid gold
Made to outlast the people who wear it.
Three materials
Nothing in it is decoration.
Solid 14k Gold
The band
Solid throughout, not plated. It is the structure, the colour and the surface the engraving is cut into, all at once.
The Engraving
The design
A leafy branch, cut down the centre of the gold and carried the full way round. Every leaf is a separate cut.
Koa Wood
Both sides
Koa on either side of the engraving, dark and deeply figured. It is what makes the gold read as warm rather than bright.
Yours
A band you will still be wearing in forty years.
Solid gold, wood that means something, and an engraving cut rather than printed. Tell me what it needs to carry.
